Marius Fund
In its ongoing mission to support burn survivors and their families, the Burn Institute has created the Marius Fund, designed to assist 9-year-old Romanian burn survivor Marius Vasile. Marius Vasile is a 9-year-old Romanian boy who was severely burned in a November 2007 fire in his home that killed both of his parents. When he was admitted to the hospital, he had burns (many fourth-degree) covering 75 percent of his body, including his face. Since then, all of his fingers have been amputated because they were so badly damaged. Marius was brought to the U.S. by a caring family to receive treatments at Shriners Hospital in LA, which will take nearly 9 years. The Marius Fund will help cover living expenses, transportation costs, and other expenses related to Marius’s rehabilitation and specialized care. Donate now
