DESCRIPTION:Each year\, the Burn Institute invites burn survivors and their immediate families to attend a San Diego Padres baseball game. Typically\, around 500 BI participants attend this event! This year’s Padres game will be on Friday\, April 10 at 7:10pm. Tickets are free for Burn Survivors and qualifying direct dependents. Additional tickets may be purchased at a discounted rate with the link here: Discounted Tickets (no restrictions for purchase) \n\nCanceled until a future date can be confirmed. \nPlease note: If you were registered for this event\, you do not need to register again. Please let us know if you are unable to attend. \nDisclaimer\nDue to a limited number of tickets available\, only the burn survivor and their qualifying direct dependents are eligible to receive free tickets. Additional discounted tickets can be purchased on this link. All tickets will need to be picked up at the Burn Institute office in Kearny Mesa by Friday\, April 3rd. SUMMARY:Family Retreat (Canceled - TBD)
DESCRIPTION:Family Retreat is a support-based program designed for burn survivors\, ages 0-7 years old and their immediate family members. This unique two-day and overnight program helps children along with their families understand and cope with the physical and emotional challenges associated with burn recovery. Family Retreat will provide an opportunity for families to spend time with others overcoming similar challenges in an informal\, supportive camp setting. \nThe program focuses on healthy emotional and physical recovery with an emphasis on providing the children the opportunity to socialize with other burn survivors.
