DESCRIPTION:The Burn Institute aims to offer many programs for burn survivors. One aspect of our programs is our support groups. Burn survivors and their caregivers are invited to attend group meetings to discuss the triumphs and hardships they may be facing in their life journey. Group is held virtually. Attendees are welcome to join us for one meeting or for all and there is no charge to attend. \nEvery second Wednesday of the month starting at 6:30 pm. \nUpdate: Meeting are being held via Zoom. DESCRIPTION:The Burn Institute aims to offer many programs for burn survivors. One aspect of our programs is our support groups. Once a month\, burn survivors and their caregivers are invited to attend group meetings to discuss the triumphs and hardships they may be facing in their life journey. \nThe  in-person support meeting is open to ALL burn survivors. It is a regular event (every 4th Wed of the month) and is held at UCSD Burn Center\, 8th Floor Conference Room. SUMMARY:Burn Survivor Family Day Getaway - San Diego
DESCRIPTION:Our Burn Survivor Family Day Getaway is a support-based program designed for burn survivors\, ages 0-7 years old and their immediate family members (parents and siblings). This unique program helps children along with their families understand and cope with the physical and emotional challenges associated with burn recovery. Family Day Getaway will provide an opportunity for families to spend time with others overcoming similar challenges in an informal\, supportive camp setting. \nThe program focuses on healthy emotional and physical recovery with an emphasis on providing the children the opportunity to socialize with other burn survivors. this is an opportunity to meet other parents of child survivors in a group setting.
