SUMMARY:Burn Run 5K
DESCRIPTION:Every year\, we host a spirited 5K to support our organization and promote Burn Awareness Week (February 1-7\, 2020). This family-friendly run is being held on Saturday\, February 1 at De Anza Cove on Mission Bay. The event will showcase community partners\, including local fire service\, as part of our Burn Prevention Expo and focus on raising awareness for contact burns–when skin comes in contact with a hot object like coals from a fire-pit or a hot iron. Once you’ve completed the race\, you will enjoy a traditional Firehouse Pancake Breakfast! \nWe invite you to bring your friends and family for a wonderful morning on the bay\, raising funds to support burn prevention education and burn survivor support programs! With your help\, we prevent burns and save lives. \nEntry fee for the event is $30 for adults and $15 for children. All participants receive a medal to celebrate their 5K accomplishment! Register here!  \nBurn survivors and their immediate family members are invited to participate in the run for free.
