Our 33rd annual Firefighter Demolition Derby was a BLAST!

It was a beautiful day filled with excitement and community spirit.

This high-energy, family-friendly event was packed with fire safety education, hands-on activities, and heart-pounding derby action. Teams from 15 fire departments customized clunkers to clash, compete, and crow!

The Del Mar Arena was the center of it all, including live firefighting demonstrations, free giveaways, educational and interactive activities. Outside the arena, visitors got a close-up look at the derby cars – and to meet the brave drivers.

San Marcos Fire took home the title for the SECOND year in a row – congrats!

Teams smashed and battled – for fun and to raise funds for Burn Institute programs and services. HUGE thanks to the participating departments – San Diego, Redondo Beach, San Marcos, Chula Vista, Lakeside, Combat Center, Murrieta, Fallbrook, Bonita, CALFIRE/Riverside County, Santee Local 4373, Camp Pendleton, and Heartland.
