Since 1974, the Burn Institute pays tribute to a special set of local heroes – those who have risked their lives in an effort to save others from burn injury or death. First responders, community leaders, and supporters gather to honor them in an inspiring evening. A committee comprised of fire service personnel and community leaders select the recipients.
